The Conjuring Sequel is in the Plans

The film will hit theaters on July 19, extremely positive word of mouth has led New Line Cinema to initiate plans for a sequel to The Conjuring. The film, a supernatural thriller inspired by actual events. We have big hopes for this Horror flick and it will be great hearing the news about the Conjuring Sequel is just reassuring.

Stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Joey King, Shanley Caswell, Haley McFarland, Mackenzie Foy, Kyla Deaver, and Sterling Jerins.

Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. The Conjuring tells the true story of Ed and Lorraine Warren (Wilson and Farmiga), world-renowned paranormal investigators, who were called to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most horrifying case of their lives.

The franchise would continue the adventures of the Warrens and their investigations into other supernatural occurrences. Past films inspired by the couples’ real-world adventures include The Amityville Horror and The Haunting in Connecticut.

There’s no word as of yet as to whether or not director James Wan will be returning to helm the sequel. Next up, Wan will be taking a break from horror, directing Universal Pictures’ Fast & Furious 7.
